Episode 120 is with Detr HOD KOG
This episode was recored in Minneapolis. We were lucky enough to have Detr visit us here. I’ve liked his work for a long time. Back in the late 90s and early 2000s I remembering seeing his stuff in magazines and websites. Really solid writer and diverse as fuck. Great pieces in sick spots, freights, hands, etc. Shortly after being introduced to his work I realized he also wrote Vicious. It’s one thing when a writer blows you away with one word, but when you discover they did work with another word or words it hits you so much stronger. His skill with paint whether it’s with writing or his chosen career are impressive. I really didn’t know what to expect meeting him, but he has a larger than life personality. His personal traits (loyalty, kindness, desire to better himself, and a host of others) are equal to his artistic skill. You’ll learn a lot about his life in this episode. He’s gone through a lot and always seems to land on his feet. Thanks Detr for coming here to the frozen tundra. I look forward to our paths crossing again.
Don’t forget to check out the flicks on the website he sent in a bunch of good ones. The two songs he picked were. Celly Cel – All I Know and Dru Down – Can You Feel Me
3 new magazines are uploaded to the site. Names On Trains and Freightspotter are available now. TrainGang is up there but won’t go on sale until next Monday.
